Dr. Christian D. Klose is expert on natural hazards. For many years he has been researching how natural hazards, in particular, those that are caused by humans impact humans. As a research scientist he worked at several renowned institutions, including Columbia University in New York, ETH in Zurich, and Ritsumeikan University in Kyoto.

Many of his research papers have been featured in the popular media, such as the New York Times, Wallstreet Journal, The Economist or National Geographic to name a few. As a father of three, he believes that not science per se but the observing people that apply science can make positive changes to our lives and that of future generations to come. Dr. Klose is available for select lectures.
